100% Syrah, made by the Cave de Tain, a leading producer in the northern Rhône and specialist of Crozes-Hermitage (producing 60% of this appellation). Vines are 20 years old and planted on stony, granitic soils. Partially hand-picked depending on the plots with a maximum yield of 45hl/ha. All grapes were destemmed, then vatted with temperature control for 8 - 15 days at 28°C with regular pumping-over, pigeage and aerations. One-third of the blend was aged for 12 months in 400l French oak barrels. Winemaker Xavier Frouin. Alc 12.5%, TA 3.74g/l, pH 3.58, RS 2.0g/l.
