Winemaker and winery: Angelo Molito, Canicatti, Cantina Sociale Viticultori Associati. Grape variety: 100% Nero d’Avola. Region: Southern Sicily. Viticulture/Vinification: Macerated for eight days and fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel vats. Ageing for 4-6 months in steel vats. Availability: Now - 266 stores. 13% vol. Very cerise/purple label. May put real men off. Pleasant savoury smell. Taste good as well. Dark fruits and spice but the alcohol is controlled. Good. 23/03/10 |
