Winemaker and winery: Philippe and Vincent Jaboulet, Domaine Collonge.. Grape variety: 100% Syrah. Region: Crozes Hermitage, North Rhône Valley. Viticulture/Vinification: The grapes are de-stemmed and cool fermented for two days. The fermentation takes place in concrete or stainless steel tanks and the wine benefits from regular pumping over. The wine is unoaked. Availability: 500 stores. 13% vol. Just a damp hint of something on the nose. Peppery and juicy Syrah. Good. Needs food and a bit more bottle age. Not much. 23/03/10 |
