This wine was £22 when I bought 4 of them from a lovely guy at Fingal Rock in Monmothshire.

Truely beautiful wine, and only twice as much as the retail price for dire Blason burgundies. How can this be so ? It's in another universe and Juliet probably only makes the same profit from one bottle to Blason's two.

Juliet and her sister make wine and manage the vineyards that they inherited from dad. Dad used to sell his crop to negociants - jolly pleased that big and sometimes arrogant negociants are being cut out of the loop by talented younger people. This Chambolle is made in tiny quantities, and I notice that the Chinese peoples are writing blogs.

Use google translator - it's not a totally rediculous rendition of their language for the TN's.

This Chambolle - I'm not experienced with these, has a beautiful indigo hue to the wine, and is very full and sexy.
Wonderful fragrance in the mouth, once it hits your middle palate but not so overtly on the nostrils (that is bigger money 1er CM's)
Beautiful - the silkiness of volnay, more richness, deeper colour with the indigo, great length and unctious like ripe and good Pomerol.

Just a tiny bit soft for me - but that is 2006, it is an early maturing one. '05 if I had some, would be extraordinary for that dosh.

Yes I know, I bought before burgundy prices increased for decent examples that are drinking well NOW.

Does you good to have a bit of luxury once in a while. There you go, a beautiful burgundy star for the price of two totally naff ones at some bulk retailers and merchants.

edited for spelling

Now what's with this disdain Mr B ?

Ahh, I get it. You are not permitted to enjoy a red wine - We could feel sorry for you, spoze.

Best pinot noir this year for me - posh'ish supper on the patio while surveying the warwickshire rolling countryside. The hosts were pleased with it :) saying so, when it came to the goodbyes' on Sunday after lunch

No hessitation - straight into the Twenty Ten Gallery.
