Winemaker and winery: Claudio Manera, Araldica. Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay. Region: Piedmont. Viticulture/Vinification: Grapes are harvested at the end of August/early September from vineyards in Piedmonte in the undulating Monferrato Hills. Standard white vinification; pneumatic press, temperature controlled stainless steel fermentation at low temperatures to maintain freshness. Left in tank on fine lees until bottled under screw cap to retain freshness. Availability: Now - 308 stores. 13.5% vol. Quite a vegetal nose. Pointless wine. I’d never buy this. It’s neutral and provokes no interest at all. For me. 23/03/10 |
