Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Gris.

After pressing and cold settling the clear juice was fermented with wild yeast and then remained on lees for 6 months.
Availability: 146 stores.

Green, pungent and spicy, but with something floral on the finish. Quite fruity, and the alcohol is warm. Not bad at all. I like this Sauvignon Gris business. Must investigate.

Yes, I've been asking questions, but haven't trawled the web for informed and reliable information from those growers who have been doing the root or stem grafting. Who pioneered the practise, and which stocks were employed and from where ?

The first references to SG here, were left bank at Smith Haut Lafitte and Thieuley. I don't remember any referece to SG at Smith HL in the early 90's when it was comparatively affordable, and I can't remember it mentioned for any of the earlier Lurton whites there.

Yes, please do so and let us know.

Thanks
