Winemaker & Winery: Mark Zeppel, Zilzewines. Grape Variety: 95% Chardonnay and 5% Viognier. Region: South Eastern Australia: Sourced predominately from our own vineyards and long term contracted growers in the Swan Hill and Murray Darling regions of north west Victoria. Viticulture/Vinification: The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night to preserve freshness and quality. Individual batches were cold settled and cool fermented in stainless steel and some French oak with lees stirring to give length and roundness. The wine was stabilized and filtered prior to bottling. Availability: 100 stores. 12.5% vol. Love the little sheep on the label. It looks a bit lonely, though. Ripe nose and taste. Fresh and pretty good. Fair price. 23/03/10 |
