Apart from the Sainsbury's TtD colour labelling (my wine rack now offers only 'Complex & elegant' or 'Rich & complex' - I thought it might be a social faux pas to have any 'Light & fruity') this is a very nice wine for the price. Appealing nose of toffee apple is followed by refreshing bracingly dry citrus/melon flavours. |

Oh no...Oh yes, Good muscadet and oysters can be best on the night. For us of course, one hopes that the big shops don't just pick up the dross after a great vintage. The french will have the best tho, they're not stupid When the decent '09 Loire's come to market, the New Zealanders' may have to mind their P's and Q's. It's all to play for. Loire growers are set faire after an excellent season last year. |

Tasted it at the tail end of last year. Little on the nose. Sharp acidity, some lees flavour. The juicy sharpness lasts well, but I'm not sure you'd call that flavour. 12.0% 14/10/2009 |
