Full, biscuity aroma, with some fruit as well. Full flavour. Really biscuity and rounded. Not sharp and hard work at all.

Down to £24 at Majestic. Is it worth a go at this price?

Sir, I shall have to defer to you. Let us know

I've employed a chap around here to do some essential maintenance on victorian windows, doors and frames. I've done some at week-ends myself to keep the labour costs down - I'm cleared out of readies.

I've also acquired some victorian Bath stone for a flat roof parapet that I need to fix in the Spring, I temp. fixed the flat roof, but only remedial work, pray it holds, I must have painted two gallons of modern bitumastic on it (modern bitumastic is rubbish) - I'm up against the edge on my current account for a bit.

Vavasour and de Ligney bargains only here, while they last, and a few nice picks from the cellar.

I need a drop of ole GK's luck

I'm in a similar boat. I am trying to get some of the jobs intended, but let slide since the move, done before the VAT rate rise.

I went a bit mad in the last round of offers, hence my proclamation regarding no more til the new year. However with the VAT rise approaching it may be wise to buy now on credit and tighten the belt later. Makes you wonder, if everyone is thinking the same, if this rise is ill advised. :?

Still 15 quid at tescos if you can find it

In the same boat as you boys, large bit of belt tightening needed at the moment
Have to stick my wine blinkers on around the supermarket for now

I think the one at Tesco is the standard Brute.

do you have a rough idea of how many bottles you've got stored at home now?

I am edging 250 bottles.

I want to get it down to a steady 150, theres no point having so much sitting around. Its nice to look at but you can only drink so much.

yeah, an impressive stash
I'm a long way off from those kind of numbers.

Think just shy of 100 was my peak but am in around the 70 bottles area now
Storage conditions at my place don't justify keeping too many long termers
