100% Pinot Noir. The vineyard is located on the western plains of Corsica, between Bastia and Porto Vecchio. Grapes are destemmed and cooled before 3 day cold maceration, followed by fermentation in oak vats. Aged for 6-12 months in oak vats prior to bottling. Perfumed.Some cherry. High acid and quite raw-tasting. Not very balanced or beautiful. Might be improved by food. New vintage, available now, 214 stores, screw cap12.5% 14/10/2009 |
