50% Tempranillo, 50% Garnacha. Low-yielding bush-pruned vines grown on ferrous clay and gravel. Harvested September. Traditional vinification at 26-30°C. 10 days' post-fermentation maceration. Small proportion of the blend matured in French and American oak barrels for 3 months. Winemaker Norrel Robertson MW. Purple. Very richly frfuity on the nose. Young, hot and darkly fruity. Not bad for the money, though. Alc 13.8%, TA 5.2g/l, pH 3.5. Available from Wine Direct and 192 branches. 15/10/2008 |
