The unirrigated bush vines which supply the bulk of Swartland winery's grapes give concentrated intense flavours. The grapes are fermented at low temperature in stainless steel and left unwooded to best capture the freshness of the fruit.

Swartland Winery was established in 1948. Supplied by some 200 members, they are now one of South Africa's largest wine producers, their fantastic value the result of the intense flavours obtained from dry farmed, low yielding old bush vines. The Swartland region some 50 miles north and east of Capetown has a hot dry climate in which unirrigated bush vines thrive alongside neighbouring wheatfields.

Light, cherry smell and taste. Cheap and cheap.
