The grapes are fermented at low temperature in stainless steel and left unwooded to best capture the freshness of the fruit. Swartland Winery was established in 1948. Supplied by some 200 members, they are now one of South Africa's largest wine producers, their fantastic value the result of the intense flavours obtained from dry farmed, low yielding old bush vines.
