Garnacha and Tempranillo grapes are harvested mid to end of September from 25-year-old bush vines from the high hills of Cariñena during morning hours. Pre-maceration prior to the fermentation and primary-fermentation for 8 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and 20/25 days post-fermentative maceration.
Oak/lees treatment: 12 months aged in American oak barrels. 24 months matured in bottle

Grandes Vinos Y Vinedos S.A was set up as a company in September 1997. The idea of creating this company emerged from the need that several Cooperatives from the region of Cariñena had to find a common way to market the wines they produced. They own over 5000 hectares of vineyards, with an annual average production of 15 million bottles and own over 12.000 barrels (American and French).

Dark fruits and a little oak on the nose. Lovely American oak in the mouth. Cheesy texture. Great price.
