2007 was a relatively early vintage, with low rainfall and warm weather contributing to an early budburst and flowering. Mild to warm weather throughout summer helped the fruit to mature well and the light rains at harvest failed to impede fruit from ripening well with good varietal character.

At harvest the best parcels of grapes were sorted, leaving only ripe berries in each bunch. After being separated from the stalks and pressed, the resulting grape must was cool-fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks; producing ripe, rounded characters. Deliberately left un-oaked, this deliciously crisp white wine is then released upon maturation so as to be best enjoyed when young and fresh. Sealed with a screwcap in order to reach the consumer at the optimum quality demanded by the winemaking team.

Renowned for consistency and quality, Lindemans wines promise more than the partnering of quality grapes and craftsmanship. An exciting new addition to the Lindemans family, the Sydney Cove range is a celebration of this pioneering history paying homage to the home of the very first vines to be planted in New South Wales over 250 years ago. Inspired by this spirit our founder Dr Henry Lindeman planted his own first vines in Australia's Hunter Valley decades later in 1843.

Light, pear drop smell. A hint of something tropical in the mouth. Hot alcohol and of little interest to me. Just another soulless Aus Chard.
