After a soft pressing of the grape berries, the alcoholic fermentation takes place directly in oak barrels during 8 days.
Oak/lees treatment: Then the wine ages on selected lees for 10 to 12 months. The malolactic fermentation starts naturally together with the natural rise of temperature in the spring or summer.

Former NASA rocket scientist Marc Dumont is turning a fortune made in hi & bio tech industries in California into a smaller one via the wine trade. His three domaines in Burgundy include the Manoir Murisaltien , who's vineyards include the lieu dit “Les Criots”. Demessey wines are traditionally made and classically styled, and are listed in the best restaurants in France, as well as selling well in California and the far east.

Not immediately appealing on the nose. Some sweet fruit but rather restrained. Savoury and nutty taste, so perhaps good for WB lovers. Not a bad price considering Meursault's usually £20 new and they've been sitting on this for 6 years. Doesn't do it for me.
