87% Syrah, 13% Viognier. Grapes are grown on slopes overlooking the Canal du Midi in the Pays de l'Herault and co-fermented. Some of the wine is aged in oak for 6 months. Dark purple. Sweet, very ripe aroma - like purple sweets. Also quite peachy, from the co-fermentation. Very sweet indeed. Like Australian Shiraz without the baked, spicy taste or the alcohol. 13.00% 08/05/08 |
