Post subject:  Sainsbury’s, Ttd Amarone 2005 Valpolicella £12.99
70% Corvina, 30% Rondinella. Aged for 18 months in oak. Produced for Sainsbury's by Cantina Valpantena.

Sweet, violet, figgy smell - heady and appealing. The wine is sweet, as expected, but nicely savoury, which cuts the sugar. Quite lovely and a damn fine price.
