Made for Tesco by Zimmermann-Graeff & Muller GmbH & Co. 23 grams/litre residual sugar. This wine is selected from the best and steepest terraced vineyard sides (Steillagen) along the river Mosel. The blue slate soil retains the day's heat in the soil, and adds a light mineral edge to the wine, whilst the maximum exposure to the sun develops ripe tropical fruit flavour. So textbook terroir characters come together for the production of this wine, though the pickers are not always thankful for the steep slopes....
Peardrop, cool fermentation aroma, and very floral, as well. 23 grams/litre residual sugar and with just enough acidity to balance, but not make it mouth watering. Actually, it’s great value. 11.5%
