Post subject:  Tesco Finest Kenton Valley Vineyard Sauvignon 07 £6.99

Made for Tesco by Australian Vintage Ltd from 88.2% Sauvignon Blanc 11.8% Chardonnay. The fruit for this wine was harvested from our Adelaide Hills Vineyard located on the outskirts of the small town of Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills. The Adelaide Hills region of South Australia is well known for its Sauvignon Blanc and this wine shows the true varietal character from that region. The fruit is sourced from a single company-owned vineyard. Adelaide Hills is one of the few regions in Australia that enjoys four distinct seasons. As a rule, maximum temperatures are generally 4-6°C cooler than Adelaide city, making the region a popular retreat during the summer months. The Adelaide Hills has a deserved reputation as one of Australia's premium cool climate wine regions, producing excellent sauvignon blanc, pinot noir and chardonnay.
Ripe, cooked gooseberries on the nose, rather than fresh green ones. Intense peapod flavour, with a little more warmth than is necessary. Ripe finish. 13.6%
