Also £8.49/£5.66 in Thresher. The taste is spring-like. Fresh and green and definitely worth having in the fridge door at this time of year. It’s made from 50% each of Sauvignon Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. Tasted on a hot evening in Bordeaux, but in the less romantic atmosphere of the company’s tasting room the next day it had a very appealing smell, with something tropical. The taste was fruity, fresh and intense. 2 July 08 |

The 2007 wasn't bad. Medium bodied, hint of citrus with an earthy tropical fruit finish. A noticeable step up on your average unoaked Bordeaux. However, Chile can do the same for around a fiver. Montana Reserve 2007 is on offer at Tesco for £6.99. Blackcurrant leaves and green pepper.Totally different class and all for the same price. Btw....Sainsbury have the 2007 Boschendal rose on offer for £3.99. G |

Yes, I rather liked that one. Boschendal Rose 2007 Sainsbury 6.99 Catty smell - surely made from Sauvignon - no help from the label. Very, very good. Almost the best rose I've tasted - like a fresh new world sauvignon with half a strawberry blended into it. Heck, must get round there. 09/05/07 |
