85% Primitivo, 10% Negroamaro and 5% Malvasia Nera. Aged for 6 months in French Oak barrels. Produced for Sainsbury's by Cantine due Palme, Winery of the Year 2007 at Vinitaly. Very deep colour. Dark, plummy, rich smell with some violet. Very, very sweet indeed. Surely a dessert wine. You could not drink this with anything meaty, unless a game pie? Quite pleasant as a dessert wine.
