Fruity, rather than oaky, smell. Dry, clarety and not £12 worth.

Am drinking this now, forgot I had it and have left it a little late, flatter than a witch's tit.

Improved on the second night, very dry, looser fruit, more accessible.

Only buy when reduced, if at all.

Mel,

Agree a very poor 05.

Now on the 2007.

Richard,
Interpolation - The '05 vintage of this wine would have been as dead as a dodo by March 2010.

Last November during the pre Christmas 6 x 25% discount, on top of general discount, bought

2 x Roc Lussac St Emillion 2007 £5.24 * each *( £11.99 - £5 = 6.99 x 25% discount)

The 07 was weak, but worth a fiver. Very light and much better on 1st opening, the fruit died in the glass when chambre'd for 20 minutes. As I say, worth a fiver. Pour 4 glasses swig down promptly with chicken or turkey. Put the bottle in your glass recycle bin out the back, and then go and select a claret with some proper Umph for the rest of your dinner

Which part of Lussac St. Emilion did that wine come from ?? More like Entre-Deux-Mers, right bank bordeaux ordinaire.

I didn't resent it, ok with roast bird. I'd take a punt and pay £5.99 or so for the 2009 version
