I had a bottle at the weekend. It reminded me of the Waitrose sauvignon St Bris. Minerally in a peanutty sort of way and totally devoid of fruit. Nice though but not as good as it was 6 months ago They need to get the 2007 in asap. We went to one of Heston Blumenthal's restaurants in Bray. The Sancerre was tart and the house sauvignon was rubbish. The duck was magnificent. But that's not the point. |

No, the Sancerre was an aperitif. Such as it was. I had a glass of red Burgundy with the duck. |
