50/50 Sauv/Sem. Some elder on the nose. Dry and quite astringent. Touch of residual sugar - actually, 3.9 grams, which is pretty high for Bdx Blanc.

2008 now - £5.62 on offer. Light in colour with a tint of green, somewhere between armpit and parmesan on the first whiff. Two distinct flavours in the glass and a dry kick to follow. Dangerously gluggable for any but chardonnay-girl.

My view of Chardonnay-girl is different from yours. I always feel the need to entice her to try other things. I think there's an Aglianico-del-Vulture-girl inside every Chardonnay-girl, just wanting to be released.

I have terrible trouble with names, my mind leaps without care. Sometimes this is a great weapon and sometimes it's not.
Pounced on some silly-priced barolo to find it was bardolino. Pounced on some silly-priced sassicaia to find it was sassaiolo. Also went to Chippenham instead of Cheltenham and Salisbury instead of Shaftsbury. Quite understandable of course.
