Tasted blind. Intense, dark colour, almost opaque and with the heavy, high-shouldered bottle, this appears to be an impressive wine. Smells of dark ripe fruit and oak which I'd put at partly American. A really lovely smell. Rich, sweet, dark fruit and certainly some oak, but not obviously high in alcohol. Perhaps a Bdx variety, but can I include Malbec in that? I'd put it in S America or Spain. On un-covering the bottle. It's an Argentinian Cabernet Reserva and £8.15 a bottle is a damn fine price. With a dash of Malbec.

mel, on a different system, hence no signature/pic
