I'm looking to stock up on some decent bottled lager, my favourite M&S Italian Lager is still out of stock, therefore Im looking for other options.

Has any of you tried the new Czech lager form M&S? Decent brewery and price.

Also, anyone tried the bottled lagers on offer at Aldi? The Breda, Staroslav and Bavarian?

Any other recco's most welcome :)

An interesting lager for the money (80 bottles to the vintage Krug) They've been at it for long enough - Eh ! Goose - may know something
GK - I dont have enough experience to know - but the most telling parts have got to be that Bo Ho hop variety and the artesian water.

Sorry - educational link & info though.

Cum-On G, you're a larger L...

How dare you. I am not a lager lout.

I am a Welsh oik.

I have found proof that bottled lager has a different taste to tinned.

Even canned Stella will taste bottled if taken outside.

As for you GK,..i'm surprised that you haven't made your own for 4p a pilfered keg.

I am a contented Stella drinker and at 62p a acan when on offer at Asda/Tesco I don't stray into cheaper alternatives.

If only I was as content with wine.

Homebrew lager can be difficult to make and takes time, that's if you dont want it to end up tasting like Stella

I've gone with the M&S Czech, got 25% off, takes the bottle price down to £1.12 +del.
