Bought this MSB to try the 2015 vintage. Full retail over £14

FAR TOO YOUNG.

I used a discount voucher on a mixed Christmas case - post Christmas clearance discount as well. So about £6.66 after all discounts, one bottle only - thankfully.

It is a reserve MSB, so I thought it may be better than the usual buy 3 for 2 supermarket fodder.

Wrong! It was most unsatisfactory. Thin in the mouth, angular & very lean indeed, green, unripe gooseberry, apon gooseberry, on gooseberry, A little cats pee. A passion fruit nose to invite you, only in the nose though, not in the flavour. The finish was jiff lemon acidity on wet cardboard, tiring after a third of a bottle.

Sadly, I think this is the one dimensional style that NZ producers believe will be a regular grab for the supermarket trolley - Duh! The reserve wine being a more subtle, creep up on you version of car battery top up fluid.

Avoid, for me, once is enough. . . . . . . . . However, many reviews appear to be complimentary :?:

TBF, 20% better on day 2, flatter on day 3 - score 13.5 / 20
