IWSC Trophy winner for white wine under £6.

If you've had Black Cottage MSB from Majestic then you'll know the flavour of this.

Dry, balanced and very flavoursome. Staggering value for money. I just can't describe the flavour. Sileni the Straits MSB and Flagstone Free Run SA are also very similar.

:qofgold: :qofgoodvalue:

I nearly didn't bother cos Villa Maria Private Bin 2013 won the under £10 trophy.

Also available online, tempted to grab a case.

The wine has become quite golden but the acidity is still quite high. This could be lush and really lovely in a year.

This is a good find.

Ba is quiet but he's probably into his third bottle.

Unfortunately their 'wine-by-the-case' site won't give a delivery day yet alone 2 hr slot. Then their 'by-the-bottle' within groceries only have a smaller selection.
Can I steel myself to enter one of the Asda dreadful stores?
Ear plugs + ear defenders + welly boots needed. Like the sound of this though so might have to man up and brave the awfulness.

Wott he said...and yes, there is a little something hiding in the background. Not too sure of longevity though.

Tried one on Friday having finished VMCS 2013
It ain't half bad for the price. There was something a little grapeier about this giving it a very slight schloer note. I like schloer so wasn't a problem for me
Left on the fridge since Friday so I'll be trying it again later

Jacobs creek reserve Riesling was also on offer for £6 at the time but I didn't pick any up

I drove past an Asda on Saturday and thought about turning in to get the Koru, then I saw the heaving masses of near naked, badly tattooed Shreks shuffling towards the main entrance and decided to keep going.

:qofgold: That's brilliant. Paints a vivid picture. They are more Zombie-like around here, but that is close enough. :qofgold:
