From the Fournier stable.
Neat little crisp dry white wine. Not at all worth all the Sancerre hype. Might mature in a year or two and will need to do so at £13 full price.

Sorry Ba, Its not going anywhere favourable, and the sulphur and that mystery element will drown any minerality when the fruit capitulates.

I have almost forgotten what Sancerre/PF is supposed to taste like. When I do get a good one I shall probably complain.

" Excuse me, waiter. This wine doesn't smell of sulphur or taste of cabbage nor is it dilute and tasteless.....take it back "

You're memory Mr B ! What are you saying  , just how can a Pouilly Fume or Sancerre be better than an '09 !! Good Sancerre and FP from the 2009 climat are truly beautiful, truly mind blowing.
A dryish winter, followed by a bright Summer and long golden Autumn in the 'western approaches'

We had friends over for lunch today, they were bailing out a soaked property in North Devon over christmas, How much fuffing rain do you need ? So we re-created Boxing day. I opened my last bottle of P..... F..... for starters. a BIG SACRIFICE for me.

Aunaud De Lassalle, Pouilly Fume' 2009 - utterly beautiful and wonderful
.

This is not the Silex PF - just a beautiful vintage in every respect. Wealthy folks who have the Silex on '09 or '10 are Lording it - good and proper :D .

I pray / we pray for a great Summer for 2013. If the Summer is bright and warm and fairly dry in Cornwall and Pembrokeshire - then you know that affordable PF & Sancerre will be bl**dy lovely. Either that, or we need a massive high in central Europe to push the grey rubbish out of the way in the western approaches.

I'm praying - I adore Pouilly Fume' for starters on Sunday

Make sure you Enjoy the ten Mr B - You'll have to wait now - quite a looooong time !

The De Ladoucette Pouilly Fume and it's stablemate the Comte Lafond Sancerre 2009's should be something a bit special then. Especially in a year or two.

G - It's a very long time since I could / would readily afford those PF's - I'd put money on them being exceptional on the '09 vintage. I wouldn't wait too long if I had them on the rack though. I'd risk perhaps a little bit longer maturing with the inside barrel charred oak versions from other climats nearby.

You're the knowledgable one on these high end Loire wines, G. If you find them in a merchant's stock, you'd need to be sure they haven't been on a warm shelf for months on end.

If more Aunaud De Lassalle on the 2010 appeared, I'd take 3 for the end of the summer.
