I've gone many, many years considering Touraine as acidic lightweight dryish white wine. Suddenly I have had three damn good ones. The Calvet. Jackie Marteau and now this. Has character even when too cold, with hints of things to come. So many facets, hidden depths yet hugely approachable. Thanks Mel, this a happy surprise. |

In the fo'c'sle, that's a line of conversation I have with a dear lady skipper I know well, in a pitching sea. There is a certain envy for the kind of equipment we have .... in such circumstances ! |
