I do believe that VM know what they're doing with this early release wine. There'e enough passion fruit to appeal to those who prefer proper MSB but there's also enough sugar to appeal to those who don't like MSB at all and just like sugary glop poured from a bottle with MSB written on ithe label. Too sweet for me with a lingering aftertaste of custard. |

This is more money. Is also stocked by Avery's. Mel gave this wine an interesting TN for the '10 vintage Well, well then, at last ! A different MSB offer from T Looked in the store the other day, the Reach at £5.99 was cleared out. None of the few others available, at full retail, appeared to be sold G have you seen it in singles ? Taking a dozen on appro is a little risky. |

Yep, the Invivo has had excellent reviews. Dashwood 70% Awatere Valley 30% Might just try one...if they are in stock ! |

Invivo is online only. I haven't tried this yet. Tesco have Jackson Estate listed as an instore wine. None at my nearest though. Do these not look good. http://www.bobswinereviews.com/astrolab ... eview.html http://www.bobswinereviews.com/astrolab ... eview.html |

Aha, the fantastic Astrolabe, our fave MSB by far. Shame that it's a bit too pricey for us and can only be a treat every couple of months. |

I have only had the one Astrolabe and it wasn't either of these. It was gorgeous though. Passion fruit with a hint of bubble gum. The bubblr gum was a new experiance but didn't spoil the wine. I still have Saint Clair Oh Block 6 2009 down as my all time fav MSB. Not made in 2010 and the 2011 is not available here. |

BC has had an affair with Astro for some years now, He does "love them so" and only recently did UK stockists decide to get involved. He said though, that they could keep. So............ Of the 2009's G....You'll have to sneak in with your swag bag, while I'm snoring my head off. I have left in the store for special evenings, 2 x Oh Block 6, 2 x VM Wairau Reserve and 1 x Astro kekerengu coast, plus 2 x CB which is very full SB, you can almost eat it with a spoon ! & 2 x Grey ghost '08's Now, how much longer will they keep ? The CB will go on until I'm toothless and bald, but the delicate and sublime SC ?? and maybe the Astro are calling. What is the pink bubble gum like in an MSB .....?#'&%?* I did'nt notice that in the other Kekerengu ! (spelling) |

Sue Courtney of WineoftheWeek often notes bubble gum in high quality MSB. I've only ever got it on the Ast from Waitrose. The Kekerengu I think. It was a lovely wine with an odd but not off putting gummy aftertaste.. Nicer than pith and sugar anyways. |
