Some passion fruit/blackcurrant leaf but quite simple and despite only 3g of residual sugar, quite sweet. Poor value now. |

A storm rages here now ! Still pale but much more colour. Beautiful aroma of blackcurrant leaf and acorns. Intense blackcurrant leaf flavour but the acidity is in your face. Sweetness still shows but this wine is developing well. A scary roller coaster of a wine but will come back in three months or so. |

The wine will come good, at the moment acidity is a tad high and the wine is over-bright. Box hedge to add to the accorn. Suprising this wine ! In that I thought the flavour was quite strong / powerfull, therefore, moving away from its traditional subtlety on this 2011 vintage - But then again, I don't usually take JE so young / green. I didn't detect the wine being sweeter that it should be - but, I'd just finished a honeyed oak and aged Saint Veran '07. At the Sainsbury's offer price - A Steal. when discounted a bit - full retail money was £12.49 at some establishments ! Still too high for this wine. |

Grrrrr Mrs Shez opened one of these while I was out rather than the JE or Vav 2010s we have Slightly too sweet after first opening and better served colder. Day 2 & 3 was better. Blackcurrant leaf notes along with the usual MSB pungency Good stuff, should be good in 9months-1yr |

Despite an intense blackcurrant nose this was pale in colour, lightly aciidic with a very subtle smoky blackcurrant and acorns taste. Nice but where da JE power ? |

Just about exactly my experience - although I don't know what acorns taste like. Welsh breakfast cereal eh? Massive aroma on opening and first glug, and certainly a little edgy. I hope that 24 hrs and / or 6 months will round it off. Still, very good as it is. |

Subtle on opening, loads of concentration the next day, even a drop left in the fridge on Day 3, was a delight when I got back last night and Balanced acidity on D 2. IMHO - you're paying for future reliability off the rack with this MSB Lovely stuff. Bob Campbell, got this wrong when He did his TN early after release. Please don't be swayed by that. Evolving beautifully now. My 2nd box arrives today 6/10/2012 |
