Nothing on the nose at all. Dry, pithless wine with not too sharp acidity but no flavour at all. Could be sb from anywhere. Not at all unpleasant but very poor value. |

Therefore, JE'10 for £6 per bottle delivered was quite a coup. Goose, the decent Casablanca CSB's taste different Do you think it is rather early days to assess MSB'11 ? Though, you been doing it full time for very many years now. |

Brancott Estate now produce their entry level wine from vines just 2 - 3 years old. I guess it's tough to extract flavour. I was blaming it all on RS. The Reach could have been from the South of France. To judge a new vintage one must now look solely to the more expensive wines. Saint Clair 2011 basic is almost on a par with the PB 19 so the PB's could be wonderful this year. JE talk about the 2011 being exceptional and say that their basic has an intense blackcurranty flavour. If only Sainsbury would hurry up and change vintages on this and SH. Casblanca can be interesting but is never stunning. |

Yeah, for sure.....Stunning is for best Marlborough and PF, with Sancerre right on their chuff. I have been pretty impressed with Casa though, and a good'un does kick a soft Nelson right into touch. Enjoy your week-end |

I don't have the bottle now but I think Vavasour bottle all their wines in NZ. The Estate Reserve made by Saint Clair for the Co-Op was ( if I remenber right ) bottled in England somewhere. That was nice. Like a dumbed down Saint Clair basic, but for £6 it was very good. Sadly, for those of us who aren't Tribs, Tribs bought all 15m bottles. Bastard ! |

Oi! There must have been a "new posts" error and I missed a load of stuff, including this. Yes, the fabled ( ) Co-op Saint Clair MSB was bottled in the UK. Constellation, we think and yes I have all the remaining bottles |
