Waitrose ~£12.50 but bought on the recent 25% discount offer

Lovely Cassis notes and good quality oak on both the nose and on the palate
Tannins slightly heavy at the moment and there's a touch of greeness due to it's youth but this is already delicious and will be great in a few years time but is already very good now with a steak

I've yet to try the 2007 but have 3 bottles.
I opened the 2008 because I had 4 bottles and also knew that if it was good I could stock up more going forward with it being the current vintage on the shelves...
Heads up for you Richard, it's on offer with 20% off (making it 9.99 I think) from this Wed coming

Heads up acknowledgement to you Shez,

I'm damn glad you rate this wine, I had very seriously thought of bagging three - trouble is ....I'm stocked up to the gunwalls at the mo. the '08 vintage was on offer at the time - and there were 3 left in the racks, when I went back - But no '09 Pouilly Fume - We most def. do shoot ourselves in the foot here

I will make room - when the opportunity arrises.

I'm in the same boat Dunc,
Have got other things I should be spending my money on right now and a reasonable stash by my standards to start working through
however, I'd like to have some stuff for the future when the price will have rocketed even more so in theroy I'm actually saving money by spending now ;)

I have got a couple of 07's and an 06 left. Both cracking vintages. Good to hear the '08 is good too.

I've spent a fortune on the garden and also have high stocks so will sit this one out.

Very inviting nose. Green peppery, blackcurrant leaf, etc. Ditto on the palate. The alcohol on this wine has been punishing in the past, but now seems to be under control. I like it and it’s definitely worth catching on offer. £9.99 is a steal.

Cassis and eucalyptus along with cigar box
A little heavy on the alcohol perhaps but delicious none the less
Great now and should only get better

Big butch version of a Bordeaux blend.
Deep, heavy fruit with lots of casis and mint and a cherry background note along with cigar smoke
This still feels very young and kept for 6 days in a cool cupboard and still drank well
Very nice but I need to keep my hands off the remaining bottles for a few years to see if it will become a little more refined
