Intense, rich, blackcurrant and lemon grass.

Closest match Jackson Estate 2008.

Wairau Valley meets Pouilly Fuisse.*

Is it actually oaked or just that it's stalky like the JE 08 started out when young?

The wines of Nelson tend to be handcrafted in fairly small, family run wineries, and we are delighted that this wine was made for us by Chris Seifried of the Seifried winery. It is unoaked.

It's not stalky. Just very rich and full. I would've guessed that about 10% of the wine was oaked if I hadn't of known that it was unoaked.

Same on day two so no mellowing with time.

I thought of you when I drank it as it is very close to how I remember JE 08. If anything it's a bit fuller in body.

Way too much like hard work for me.
