Aged for 12 months on it's lees. Pale, dry, lemon and flint. Pleasant but simple. The Sainsbury Sancerre is far better for £2 less. |

I could edit the above post but that would be a cheat. What I mean by pleasant but simple is that I don't understand what ageing the wine on it's lees for 12 months has done for it. The wine is a classic Sancerre but no better or different to a Sancerre that any good producer could produce without the long love affair with the lees. |
