Just picked up.. 4x St Hallett Gamekeeper's Reserve '08 Barossa @ £4.00 (juicy, unoaked bbq red) 2x Blason de Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Beaune '08 @ £4.75 (have taken a risk on this one, the Blasson wines can be hit & miss, will see what I get). Both on the reduced rack. |

Nice find on the GKR ! Agree its a great BBQ red. Cracked a bottle open a couple of weeks for our first BBQ of the year. Best served slightly chilled I think Was looking to get some more while its just under 6 quid at Waitrose with the current 25% off dunno how you always do it ! |

Cheers Shez. Im beginning to regret buying the Beaune, Ive found a couple of poor reviews on the web. If its crap I will simply take it back, at the very least I will be a little wiser. |

yeah, no harm at that price. Bung the rest of it in a bolognase if its that bad... was given a glass of Bouchard Aîné et Fils PN 2009 yesterday. I seriously couldn't work out that it was PN. Nasty stuff: tasting description on the bottle was utter tosh |

I had one of the GKR's over the weekend, fantastic value, a lovely, juicy, creamy fruit-bomb, devilishly good! Will try the Beaune this week and let you know how I get on Dunc. |

I have reservations (no pun intended) about Blason, generally. Would love to hear something positive. |

The unveiling will take place on Wednesday evening, I will open it 'live', here, 7pm. Tickets available from the usual outlets. I am sticking to my policy of not drinking on Mon & Tues. |

I had my one and only bottle of the '07 St Hallett GKR over the weekend, what an incredible wine, so rich and intense and yet soft and juicy, so much going on, absolutely delicious, cant believe I only paid £4 for it. My value red of the year without doubt. |

I agree. A great little wine and regularly on offer. Have a few more of the 06 left and probably should be getting on with them. |
