Post subject:  TF Darling SB '09 - Tesco 2 for £10
Menacing dark green label. MJ did not like the '06 but praised the '07. GK quite liked the '08 and I quite like this. Finesse? No. Flavour? Yes. A little "in your face" and very S.African. Some acidity, some veg. Don't think I'd want to stock it, but for those who enjoy the SA versions of SB it's good value.

Asparagus and peapods on the nose. Ripe and fruity, with some Sauvignon zing on the finish. Catty and typical.

Back on offer at 2 for £10 a little more subdued now and hardly recognisable as SA. Suits me Sir...may have a little time in it as well.

Hot and sticky in Bristol today, says the BBC weather person, Derby Day as well.

Well, we had a barbee yesterday evening, as did so many folks with a graden. The girls wanted champagne, 5th Wedding Anni for my eldest, and everyone was being careful with booze anyway, particularly after such a hot afternoon.

BBQ bangers and lots of fresh rocket salad plus all the other bits and pieces is ok, However.....Lincolnshire herbie bangers and champers is a weird one - Oh no. Strange but true :roll: :wink:

I finished off with a Brakspears Oxford gold - a great extra hoppy brew, very nice, quite savoury, good mouth feel (on offer from Waitrose).

Hot & sticky it is. Got the shorts out for the first time in 2 yrs. My farm shop had rhea eggs on sale for £6 each but I went for the Cheddar strawbs instead.
