Similar to Jackson Estate 08.

Rich and buttery with underlying blackcurrant which comes through on day two.

Made by Vavasour who make err Vavasour and The Reach.

Interesting, my experience of The David Knappstien / John Forrest collaboration is the opposite of that. I opened another on Thursday

Day one is as you like it Goose - some Pungency and Prickle. This dK wine has improved since December and the flavours are locked in a little more. The taste of ripe pink grapefruit is now coming to the mid palate, a tiny bit of Mango, but little other tropical fruit notes and no lychee at all.

I think you'd like the dK more Goose, but as I have advised, you must still drink in the one evening - next day, and you are left with bright white SB wine - nothing more, but I suppose, unlike others from the the southern hemisphere - nothing less and nothing mouldy.

I quite like a sweet composty note on a racey Ruly, or palate cutting Auxey (v.pale chardonnay) but on polished high tech SB - dumb - it's sort of wierd...

Sweet compost and meadow with light french oak is lovely - Yes....but on high tech SB ? I, like you, don't really understand those who look for an over verdant, bean sprout or avocado note with this sort of unoaked sauvignon blanc style.
