Deceptive title there big man... had me expecting a Jackson Estate bargain. That said, I have nothing agains Kendall Jackson. I have enjoyed a bottle or 2 of the reserve Chardonnay at a bar local to work. A 2005 SB however might be a bit of a gamble Don't know whether 5% Semillion will be able to give this any more legs than 100% SB but judging by tasting notes I'd imagine this is more of an early drinker |

Fresh Kendal-Jackson has been available at Waitrose for £6 from time to time, and the Misses thought it OK, until she found JE 07 and the Reach '07 at less dosh This is the ole 05 and Jancis & Steve T & co were saying drink-up for the '06, which they said was improved anyway ! Don't want to pee on his fire - Goose will say it is a - No Brainer - anyway, we await his......... IMHO: Mondavi Fume' Blanc however, would be a different propositon with some bottle age |

Agree with all of the above. KJ fine, but don't think SB is their thing. Ditto Fume Blanc - I love it. Must look up Maj and see if it's on offer. Will edit in a min. Yes, they have the 07 reduced from £14.99 to £9.99 if you buy two. |

Sorry, thought this was the one which keeps getting mentioned. Not my thing either. Just picked up some 92 & 98 Moet will either be drinking well now though ?? Gave the 96 a miss for now. |

'92 Moet - ordinary NV ? '96 Verve Clicquot Posardin NV was sweet hay and light fino last year, or was it the year before, NO - the year before, Sept '07 ! A stupid mistake as mixed up in my cool storage conditions. Rich, strange old stock clearout, or What

Duncan, Yep a local chap selling off a dozen or so vintages, which included some Winston Churchill !!! Out of my budget one day I will sample one !! I have read the 92 is great at present and should be drunk within the next 18 months ?? Do you agree. Not sure on the 98, is it in a new circle though, no expect on fizz so will hold this back for 2 years. |

Not to worry. The one we all harp on about is a Kiwi offering and even a 2005 vintagee of that would likely be dead in the water. Where did you pick up the Moets ? Mind me asking the damage ? 96 THE vvintage to pick up but guess you also pay a premium for that luxury. 98 is meant to be a pretty good vvintage too tho. Having had a bit of a search on them, think both of these are probably best drunk up now. I have a Dom P 98 but think that has more aging potential than Moet Brut Imperial so will likely open it up for 10th wedding anniversary in 2013 Pls let us know how they are when you do pop the corks |

'92 Moet Imp Brut ordinary NV (NV is what it says, good for 5 years or so, then starts to fall over) Unless stored underground, or bottom of the ocean, and even then, it will be more than possibly done in by now - Ask Mel, If U dont ..... Pol Roger, the special WC cuvee would have to be a year that is recognised as a known keeper. What year was it ? |

There are tasting notes at Wine Doctor - all NV tasted is current release perhaps for a reason. I can only report on my experience at home, please check previous storage conditions. |

Duncan, Strange, have found 2/3 good notes on this vintage and bought it based on these reports ?? The 98 though I dont know when to drink, people say 98 vintages are going through a new cycle and to leave alone. £15.00 a bottle I shouldnt complain, should I?? |

at 15 quid its well worth picking them up. ..and for that reason I would see little reason to not drink them in the very near future I don't think they will benefit from much more time laying down (especiallly the 92) and the 98 will certainly be drinking well now for a £15 bottle of fizz |
