Made by Saint Clair.

This has to be the lightest bodied MSB on the market. So light that I doubt if the flavours will last more than a few months. That said, the flavour is all there. This is a classic herbaceous MSB and at under £7 beats all sb's hands down.

If you buy do not expect any concentration whatsoever and serve as warm as you can bear it.

Bacchus....get one's arse to the Co Op as you will not buy a better white wine for under £5.

Better than Montana 09 so this is the best 09 to date. I can't see it finishing in the top 10 but the ones that will beat it will be £7.99+

Drat, went off offer last w/e. As it happens I have another not-yet-mentioned MSB for this evening.

A not-mentioned MSB - don't be ridiculous.

Opened another one of these last night.

The flavours are still there and we are 6 months down the line from Goose's TN, so that is good news. If anything the age has improved it.

This wine is beautiful. There is just the right amount of tartness with the much sought flavours of passion fruit. It lacks the intensity of the Winedirect Saint Clair that Goose found. Its so light bodied but less sweet yet is similar enough to be recognisable as a sibling. A little brother, if you like. A different wine for a different mood.

I do hope it holds up for a few months as this will be perfect for summer evenings in the late sunshine.

Its such a shame it is no longer available. Fortunately I have another 4 bottles. At £4.99 this has to be my best value white wine of the year so far.

I had a closer inspection of the label last night and I was surprised to find that this is bottled in the UK

I'm not overly bothered as it is such a delicious wine. Adds to our economy too.

The McGuigan SB I opened last night is also bottled in the UK (currently reduced to £3.99 in Somerfield).

It tasted like it had been used as the ship's ballast for the journey from Oz.

Their cab is another confected concoction. Probably ok if reduced, and added to stewed dark fruit compot. The've got the chemistry wrong for us, and judging from the continual disco, half the wine buying public ! I spose it's better than Mr Kippling - just

The last bottle I had seemed to suggest it was past its best.

The one I opened yesterday was not at all. In fact it is all gone. Fantastic. Its not that far off the Pioneer Bolck 19, but less than half the price. Might actually prefer this. It has more zip. Easily my best value white in 2010.

Seriously, I have never seen this. Is it "Midland" Co-op? I have dozens of real Co-ops, ex Somerfields , and ex Kwik Saves but none of this

Its not been about for a while. Last time I saw it was before christmas and I hadn't seen it for about 6 months before that. I doubt there is any around now.

After the Firefinch, Mrs T asked if we could open something that she liked.

I had a poke around in the cooler and grabbed this. It's still good.

Incidentally I found another bottle of the Firefinch that I had bought in March. I wonder if the cooler has kept the cabbage at bay. Will report back.
