From the reliable Springfield estate... http://www.marksandspencer.com/Firefinc ... d=core&rh= Lots of decent reviews online, the lowest cost I found was £6.50 with the wine society, others went as high as £9+ a bottle. I have taken a punt and ordered a case. What you reckon guys? wise move? It seems like a very good price, my bargain-hunt-o'meter is registering a high score.... Anyone care to join me? |

I've had one of these. It's err...very South African. The neighbours compost heap came to mind. I didn't finish it. I didn't know it was made by Springfield Estate. They do make outstanding sauvs. The 2008 bottling though is very average and a bit Touraine like. |

As I’ve witnessed you do more u-turns on here than Gordon Brown does in a year, Id be more concerned if you actually liked it. Im a fan of the pungent SF SB’s, the Boschendal GC SB is a regular buy (although, this could be the dollop of semillon that does the trick). |

GK, That is a cracking price - Yeah, 50% off an M&S wine, a sauvignon blanc style and vintage that you would normally enjoy. Yeah, good luck with it . There is everything to gain there. What can you really loose (ok time and temperance). Marks will accept returns to any of their proper stores if the wine does not perform to "your" expectation. I'd take half a bakers dozen off ya for 25 knicker. My Stocks are High and also at that price. Please report back - Ta Your Bargo-eye-ometer has been a source of punch-up here in the past few months ! |

It’s a little too elementary to be a £9 wine, I doubt this is in the same league as the Springfield. However it is very good for the money, a bright, invigorating wine with an apricot twist, and an absolute steal for the £4 I paid. I would have no complaint paying £5+ either. |
