We thank our lucky stars for the integrity of this forum to expose diminishing quality of Branded products. I bought this Oyster Bay 2001 and some fragrent 1999 Santenay for my youngest daughter's 21st in late 2002. The price was the same, and the OB was nice. Now, 7 years later, Brand volumes have risen dramatically, quality has diminshed exponentially, and the price is the same. This is the dissapointment of brand management at Oyster Bay The same Santennay would be 30% more plus lousy Sterling conversion, versus the rest of the developed World. 100 euro cost £69 3 years ago 100 euro cost £94 Today. I suppose we could export Kraft Cheese slices to the developing world for peanuts - Duh. Sorry, I'll get off my wretched soap box. |
