Bought for £7.49 on offer. Light in body but pungent in flavour. No tartness. Flavours of blackcurrant and capsicum with an odd hint of bubble gum on the very long finish. Best served cold. Very good and worthy of both star and value at the offer price. JE 2007 beats this but not much else does. |

Mark the mngr advised by email yesterday. Well cheers Goose for bringing the JE 2007 to my attention as a benchmark against which all others in this price range should be measured. And cheers Shezza for asking Vinipolis to send the dozen JE 2007 to the Reading, Vastern Court Store. A credit to you guys Goose, any surprises from you luxury supper last night, how was the vintage Sauternes ? Did it hit the spot, or were you lushed-out already. |

Will do a full write up of the Sunday night wines on Tuesday. I should finally be sober by then.....no matter how still I stand the room keeps spinning. I'm too old for this.. |

I'm glad you said that Goose. I also run into trouble when enjoying fine wnies with my best friends - essentially, because they cost such a rediculous amount to replace these days - One does not want a lot of Half bottles after a dinner to deteriorate in the larder or fridge when everyone has gone home. I quite like 6 people to dinner, that way, everyone gets a glass to savour, and I and the remaining guys (usually) do not feel obliged to finish-up before retiring. |
