This is on offer at Tesco for ?6.99 and is well worth buying. It seems to be getting a little smokier with age. G |

yes, i had friends over on saturday evening and had bought some when they had 25% off everything the week before. had a glass before anyone arrived, well-chilled - delicious! managed to squeeze myself another glass and enough for 3 friends. all very impressed. have to say that even with the huge carrot of 25% off everything at Tesco, there was little to tempt. Marques de la Concordia standard (ie not Crianza, Res or Gran Res) is very good, though, and Tesco's Fino sherry. otherwise, can't get excited.have had an early invite to their ides of march tasting, so perhaps will be able to summon up some passion after that. |

Even better still is the Coteaux Du Giennois Terre De Fume at Oddbins for ?8.99 ( + another 20% off when you buy 6 wines exclusive to Oddbins ). Made by the legendary Henri Bourgeouis in the neighbouring appellation to Pouilly Fume. Extremely smokey with very subtle apple fruit....serve very lightly chilled. Stunning ! |
