The 2007 was stunning. Blackcurrant leaf and wet stones. I think I described it as Marlborough meets Pouilly Fume. The 2008 is all lemon, lime and wet stones. Touraine meets Chablis. Dunc...Mrs Dunc would love this |

Dunc...Mrs Dunc would love this Yeah, Cheers for that Goose; My Misses was shown a glass of The Crossings 2007 last night and whilst she thinks it is great, she is on Long Plymouth with gallons of tonic and huge bolders of ice - Executive 50 something evening relaxation stuff at the mo. She does go to Sainsburry's from time to time, so I will let her know. The Crossings 2007 is really great slightly extra chilled. Still my current fave sub £8 MSB if avaialble at that price ! With its wet granite and shale tasting minerality that is lasting, it can get close to many elements in a sancerre (excluding of course the extra dollops of tomatoe leaf and gooseberry) |
