Every year at around this time we experiment with rose in the hope of finding something that we really enjoy and can drink on hot summer days. We usually go mad and buy about 20 and have a few tasting sessions but the same thing always happens. We sort of quite like them all but don't feel inspired to go out and buy any of them again and we all go back to drinking Montana Sauvignon Blanc etc. But i've discovered Merlot rose which is very rich and syrupy with quite pungent cherry flavours. These are the best 3 so far Domaine de Sours Bordeaux ?5.99 Sainsbury Incredibly rich with an almost overpowering nutty finish. They have another Merlot rose called Chateaux de Sours which sells for ?3 more...it can't be any richer than this..surely ! Cono Sur Merlot rose ?4.99 Somerfield Again, lovely syrupy cherry flavours, almost dry. Isla Negra Merlot rose ?4 Asda - Co Op Another Cono Sur label. The cherry seems a little sweeter at first but it somehow turns dry. Fantastic value at ?4 and my favourite of the 3 G |

Thanks for the Rose tips G, I need to get some in for a birthday bash on the horizon. Personally I drink very little Rose, I should show it more respect.  In Co-Ops current wine promo they have-
