Nice, once we have seen off the Woolies Champers at £5, its time for some Barolo….. :?

The words loss and leader spring to mind, or maybe we are getting what we pay for? let us know what you think.

BTW- Is this the Asda 'Extra Special' own brand usually sold for around £10?

Apparnetly, although I haven't seen it myself, the Woolworths Champagne was sent to the press (not me, sadly) with suggestions of pick n mix sweets that would be good with it. They also enclosed a couple of bags of sweets.

I hear it's not great, but not by any means as bad as some sold for as much as twice the price!!

I thought the Barolo was"good for the price" a bit thin but a reasonable length, might keep 1 for a year to see what happens.
ASDA also have Brown Bros Dry Muscat at £3(normally £4.99) 1 of my wifes fav whites, great for curry munching  or Asian.

Victoria Moore (in The Guardian) describes the Woolies champagne as being like what you find left over in the glasses the morning after a party. Think I'd rather set light to my fiver...

Still, could say that for all these things. You just can't make a decent Barolo or champagne for that price!
